I'm also wondering if I'm the only person ever to have to clean cat food off the bedroom ceiling. Dr. Bonnie assures me I am not.
Blue is actually doing well, and even took a couple licks of food by herself this morning, followed by about 12 mls syringed into her mouth (and ears and up her nose... but I digress). The REASON we were trying the more traditional means of eating, though, is that her food tube blocked up, big time. The Coke came into play because apparently a quick trick for dealing with that is to get some Coke into the tube, where it dissolves both cat food clots and pill remains (the tube got blocked right after I gave her the meds last night, so a precipitation of pill-powder is the suspect).
She's back at the vet, where they're waiting to see if the Coke will work after sitting in the tube for a while, or if we have to replace the tube. *sigh*.
Here's a recent Blue snap, just before all this fuss started:
And just because she's been so neglected lately, for reason of being in perfect health and generally a pretty good cat, here's my Sprout!, in fact the Senior and Ranking Feline of the house. This was the day we left for Scotland, she was posing around the living room amidst the packing chaos.
We're now trying to make sure she doesn't end up covered in paint, as half the walls are freshly painted, as are many of her favourite windowsills.

Aw, meezers! I've cleaned cat food off the ceiling, due to a specatular incident involving a dog in a cone, and blueberry milkshake off of everything, due to being climbed by a cat.
