Blue, the Time-Share Cat

So, I had to review my own blog to watch the happy dance video a few more times. Had a visit with Mom and Dad today, during which I was procrastinating phoning the vet about Blue again.

Blue went back to Dr. Bonnie Friday, as she was vomiting more and getting less food with each feeding. Bonnie got a bit into her, probably better because she was excited, Friday night. Saturday morning revealed that part of the problem was that she was, well, constipated - and the better part of 15 minutes was taken up with relieving part of that problem, after which Bonnie reported to us that "she was like a totally different cat" than the one who came in Friday. The thinking was, she wanted to observe her for the afternoon, and we could come get her Saturday night if all stayed well.

All doesn't seem to have stayed exactly well. She didn't get much food at all (she is still being tube fed) before showing signs of nausea on Saturday afternoon. So Dr. Bonnie spend the evening doing a series of Barium x-rays to measure gastrointestinal throughput. There seem to be some inconsistencies, indicating one or more blockages, one of them at the pyloric junction where stomach meets intestine. This could be alot of things, from the mundane (she's just clogged) to the dire (cancer) and unfortunately, again, there's no way to distinguish easily.

I've been calling and looking for more feedback today, unfortunately, it's a weekend and Bonnie doesn't always spend every waking moment by the phone.

So, I am without a Blue bumping around the bedroom again, which is better for sleep but not necessarily for my anxiety level. More when I know it..... go back a day and watch the happy dance video, I think I will.
