So, in reference to my last post, referencing the comment I had prior to that: A Raveller more resourceful than I has assembled a blog post outing what was going on.
SubWayKnitter got it sorted here, mostly. Most of which I found as well, by this time, but nicely written up. Seems that my commenter "Cynthia" is a fake persona of a pretty stupid marketing drone for an online craft-market pretender who is not behaving too nicely. In the end, I guess, we can thank her for the warning to stay away from that site.
Also breaking today (well, late yesterday) in the finest tradition of online sleuthing, certain segments of the fibre arts community are raging again, over our second "undead" indie marketer in a year. Yep, someone else has allegedly fallen through on biz deals, and decided to "die" rather than either honour sales or refund purchases. I'm sticking at the moment with "allegedly" and no names, until I have a good link to point you to. Fortunately I have no personal investment (financially or business-wise) as do some others, but I was totally taken in by the "loss" of someone who was held in rather high esteem, and the posts from her grieving friends and husband - holy cow. Who needs daytime soaps?
