Not much of any cheer to post.
My senior cat is dying. We went from routine dental work, to "hmm, seems to be an infection from the tooth extraction" to squamous cell carcinoma of the mandible in about a month. There is nothing to be done. Surgical options are drastic and would likely buy very little time with an invasive cancer like this. It's a cancer not known to be responsive to radiation or chemo. And any option would really have to have been exercised almost immediately upon this developing - but her dental work kind of hid things for a while.
Panda of Toes, Honourary Meezer, Wicked-smart Barn Cat, Polydactyl Extraordinaire, is presently being spoiled rotten, fed all kinds of bad-for-kitties treats, given pain medication, and loved to bits for whatever probably short time she has left with me.
