August 22. My "Not Dead" day this year nearly got by unmarked, as I forgot until I was writing a cheque and had to note the date.
I guess that's not entirely a bad thing. Shows how pretty much on-track, normal, and manageable life really is. My health continues to be an ongoing project, the most recent event of which was refusing a prescription for Lipitor and opting to just add niacin to the recommended low-dose aspirin and my daily vitamin. My cholesterol is really fine and the prescription was preventative, so I've decided to start with something that does not involve side effects ranging from grapefruit interaction to skeletal muscle disintegration and renal failure.
Back to my normal, everyday workday.
