and again, Happy Canada Day.
Something occurred to me this evening, standing on the roof of my building watching displays of fireworks 360 degrees around. This is a day for contemplating all that is wonderful about Canada and being Canadian. Not the least of which is that we live in a country where huge explosive devices going off barely above the rooftops of our homes means only that we are celebrating. Be proud of your country, and spare a moment too to think of those for whom the situation may be different. Happy 140th, Canada.

Had a really nice moment in Burlington last night thinking same thing...standing in the dark with 50 000 or so people, singing Oh Canada. For me, it's looking at my son and knowing he will have more opportunities and a more secure future than about 85 percent of the world.
