    Culinary meanderings, Part II

Ok, so the unrolled cabbage roll recipe actually turned out kinda well. Looks like something the cat regurgitated after a night out with the alley rats, but it tasted decent.

Today's adventure involved finding something to do with more of the random contents of the weekly organic food box delivery. So breakfast was a scramble - think omlette but scrambled instead of gently folded. Sauteed shitake mushrooms and spinach chopped into ribbons went into a sprayed pan with just a few drips of sesame oil. Every so often, I splash in a handful of water to prevent burning/drying, while cooking them down. Next step is beat 6 eggs with a bit of milk, and beat in crumbled aged white cheddar. Pour into the pan with the sauteed veggies, and "scramble" gently as it all cooks to solid. I added some goat cream cheese partway through cooking just for something different.

That was a pretty hearty breakfast for 2.
