So I got some fun news, or it will be once I get out from under my current workload....
I've been accepted into a local small Handmade Fair, the Stitch'n'Kitsch. I'll be a "guest artist" for their Fall shows, on October 4th and December 13. I sent in a hopeful application with no real expectation, as Stitch'n'Kitsch is usually about the finished goods. It's a GREAT gift shopping day for those who want to buy local - woodwork, handmade paper and books, soaps and bathstuffs, and there is some knitwear and clothing. I did acknowledge on my application that I was offering something not usually considered a finished item, more of a supply - but I guess they took me at my word when I mentioned hand-dyed yarns were really popular and were indeed great gifts for yarn-crafty folk (who lurk in every corner of this town, it would seem!).
So! I'm frantically dyeing up my existing stock of blank yarn, tagging, labelling, and planning. I think I have enough to go with, and one more dye-project day just to be safe, by the October date. More by December. Once the current batch dries and gets set up, I'll put some photos over on the LoftyFibres page.
